      About Us Cont

      Drones in Construction

Drones change the approach to construction projects that benefit costs savings, geographical planning, overall efficiency, progress monitoring, and aerial inspections.

Progress Monitoring – Progress monitoring is a beneficial tool for maintaining a schedule and to help prevent project overruns. Project visibility can be shared with stakeholders and investors who need to monitor the status of the project.

Geographical Planning – Site analysis is greatly beneficial in achieving an understanding of the sites general landscape, drainage, elevation, and vegetation.

Mapping – Drones provide a higher level of detail and precision compared to public sources and widely used satellite imagery. Data from drones have many applications including 3D modeling, ortho-rectified mosaics, and oblique aerials.

We can also provide the following:

On-site Inventory – Monitor building materials and deliveries. Create ingress and egress maps to assist vendors with delivery location and exit routes. Monitor existing levels of inventory.

On-Site Inspections – Periodic inspections help to assure overall project status and safety resulting in cost savings.

Stockpile Measurements – Fuel costs, labor costs, and haul rates continue to rise. Stockpile measurements can help determine the number of truckloads required to transport materials off-site to prevent unnecessary spending.

Photography and Video – High altitude photography and video creates a “wow-factor” with viewers, marketing campaigns, and social media.

Roofing – The use of drones can reduce costs by projecting area estimations, calculating materials, and increase safety.

Asset Management – Safely track and monitor city wide lights, signs, cameras, and temporary fixtures using geo-located pictures.
